In the early fifties Wilson & Laura Clagett along with Laura's nephew Tommy Hershey started in the dry cleaning business.
After awhile Tommy decided on other endevors and in 1956 Wilson & Laura incorperated Hershey's Cleaners. Wilson
& Laura expanded to also include a laundromat in the sixties. They also implemented a pick-up and delivery service.
Wilson & Laura worked extra hard and the business thrived. They added two children to the family Lambert
& Becky, as the children grew they also helped out at the cleaners.
After Wilson's death in 1972 Laura continued to be successful on her own. At this time their son Lambert came home
from college and started working at the cleaners full-time.
With years of work from wonderful employees the business stayed it's course. As the years went by Laura's health
took a turn and at 80 she was ready to retire. Lambert and his wife Sherry took over the business in the nineties.
With the help of the third generation the dry cleaners sustained itself.
Lambert & Sherry have a pick-up and delivery service with one to two trucks on the road 5 days a week. Hershey's
also has walk-in service and we do all work on premises. Hershey's has a great staff that can answer your questions.
